The high hopes for Brett Bielema's first season came crashing down before the first quarter was over. For a former defensive coordinater, the defense seemed confused and non-existant at times, as BGSU was able to run and pass all day. On the offensive side, it was only slightly better. The once-vaunted Badgers running attack was held to under 70 yards with RS Freshman PJ Hill being held to under 30 in the first half. The only bright spot of the game was the passing attack, as nobody could stop true Freshman WR/TE Lance Kendricks, and RS Sr John Stocco found him twice in the endzone. There is much work to be done on both sides of the ball before the Big Ten season begins, but with two home games against 1AA Midwest and San Diego State, there is still time to get this team back on track.
