Falcons, 1-0

Air Force survived a fiesty Western Michigan team to open the season with a win. In a back-and-forth game, it was the Falcons 17-0 fourth quarter that finally sealed the win. The game was a story of two halves, as the Falcons turned the ball over three times in the first half, compared to zero for the Broncos. The Broncos would go on to turn the ball over 4 times in the second half, however, opening the door for the Falcons to pull out the victory. Air Force's defense looked improved, but still a step shy of being dominant. In the backfield all game, the Falcons registered 18 hurries of Bronco quarterback QB #14, but could only manage a single sack.
