Bama wins 7th straight opener
After a mediocre 2015, the 2016 season looks to be a better one. We are switching back to a 4-3 defense and we are loaded in the backfield. Those horses will carry us to a title or else. We lost all world ROLB Josh King to the NFL, but we have his replacement lined up in SO(RS) Greg Simmons. The 6'6" 241 lb ROLB is ready to bring the pain to opposing QBs. The CBs and Ss have another year of experience under their belt. We should now have a go-to WR in SR(RS) Anthony Morris. Iowa is ranked #1, but they lost a lot of starters. I don't think they'll be there at the end of the season, but we will see.
Bowling Green (0-1) is coming off a 12 point loss to Virginia Tech, but they are favored to win the MAC. They have a C+ offense and defense and is B- overall. We are #3 and have an A offense, an A+ defense, and we're A+ overall. Weather: Clear.
HB Andrew Edwards scores a TD on a 2 yard TD run, 7-0 Bama.
K Jason Smith boots a 51 yard FG, 10-0. HB Edwards scores on a 56 yard TD run, 17-0. BGSU K Buckles hits a 26 yard FG, 17-3. K Smith hits a 26 yard FG of his own to make it 20-3 at the half.
HB Edwards busts a 70 yard TD run and it's 27-3. HB Edwards then scores on a 17 yard TD run, 34-3. K Smith hits a 50 yarder and it's 37-3 at the end of three.
K SMith hits a 23 yard FG, 40-3. C D.J. Selmon picks a pass and returns it 33 yards for a TD, 47-3.
This game was pretty easy for an opener.
