Cougars Are Declawed
Washington State gets destroyed by Arizona State. For those Devils fans that feared ASU might have been looking forward to their rivalry game next week, worry no more. This was by far the most dominating performance by the Devils so far this year. They held the Cougs to only 237 yards of offense, 7 points, and 1 of 11 3rd down conversions. Offensively, we had 593 yards of offense, 377 rushing yards, and 55 points (all season highs). The rushing attack was led by HBs Marshall and Lewis who both had 100 yard days (208 and 123 respectively). When asked if this game shows that his team is starting to really gel, coach Jello said "Not at all. After all, this was only Washington State. It was like playing a high school team out there."
Next week the Devils will host the Wildcats of Arizona for the Territorial Cup.
