QB Antonio Lovelady found a new favorite target today. After impact player WR Jeremy Matthews dropped his 3rd pass of the afternoon, Lovelady started finding TE Emanuel Frazier, who consistently came through with clutch 3rd down plays.

Frazier and fellow TE Kenneth Garrett made a highlight-reel play on the ball early in the game. On 3rd and 7 Matthews had just made a catch that would have been enough to convert the down; however, a big hit by the Temple defender jarred the ball loose, and another defender picked up the ball and started to run. But Frazier stripped the ball away and Garrett recovered it in first down territory for the Lions. This kind of heads up play is just the thing the coach remembers when watching the game tapes.

All such efforts were in a losing cause, however. Temple demolished UAPB early and often. The Owls just had too much talent for the undermanned Lions to handle.
