Game of field position so far. Memphis drove to midfield, punted and pinned UAPB deep, UAPB punted to midfield, and Memphis capitalized on this short drive for a FG.

VD fumbled away a catch at our own 26, but a few plays later Hood picked a pass in the end zone. UAPB scratched out a first down on Musick's tough catch in traffic, then VD took the handoff and pointed himself at McCloud's big butt, stutterstepped left into the collapsing seam, juked right to avoid the safety's reach, and accelerated straight upfield.

A simple counter play that worked and VD got outside. The blocking was picture perfect and the LB missed a shoestring tackle that would have stopped the play for a 5 yard gain.

Bailey stretched his 6'6 frame with a might back-breaking leap to snag an int. Then Uhura tap-tap-tapped 3 short passes to Musick, then hit him for a big go route in the corner. Musick should have hooked but his corner bit so early on it he ran right past him. Luckily Uhura was on the same page.
