After the end of the 2025 season, quarterback Hunter Treadwell declared himself for the NFL draft. The following spring he and linebacker Damare Whitaker were the only Seminoles selected by pro teams. In February, defensive backs Tyler Green and Keshawn Cooley were dismissed from the team for violation of team rules and subsequently transferred to Ohio University, where they were reunited with former FSU defensive coordinator Deshawn Clem. Wide Receiver Aaron Suadi graduated and transferred to Middle Tennessee State for his final year of eligibility. Josh Robinson, a rising junior defensive lineman, elected to transfer to FCS Bethune-Cookman.Just days before the season started, receiver Deonte Jackson was dismissed for a violation of team rules. Offensive linemen Macsuell Charite and Reese Martin, as well as linebacker Jessie Cross and running back James Reynolds, left the team in the spring while defensive lineman Marquis Morgan received a medical disqualification due to injuries.
