This should be an excellent game between two very talent teams. It will be interesting to see whether or not the Illini can shut down the run game of West Virginia. If they can look for them to win but if they cant a victory in this game is unlikely.

The Illini have wrapped up the regular season and are waiting to see where they will be playing their Bowl Game. We had some time to speak with some Illini Players.

Juice Williams:
Overall are you happy with you season
Yes, overall i'm fairly happy with my season. The team went 11-1 and thats great but i really wish i didn't turn the ball over as much as i did. I guess that just gives me something to improve on for next year.

If there was something you could change from the season what would it be?
It would definetly be the number of picks i threw. It really didnt help out the team. Also i would like to have a second shot at Penn State.

Vontae Davis:
You really had a huge season, how did you do it?
In the off-season i really worked on my agility which allowed me to be in the right play at the right time. I also Worked on my decision making.

Will Judson:
Your huge season really came out of nowhere, do you think people doubting you really helped?
Yah i feed of negative energy, People always said i was too short and would never amount to anything but i showed them.

The Illini have wrapped up the regular season and are waiting to see where they will be playing their Bowl Game. Considering they won the Big Ten this year it should be in the Rose Bowl but you never know what is going to happen. We had some time to sit down with Coach Camara and talk about the season.

What happened in the Penn State game?
In the Penn State game i feel that i didn't adequately prepare the ream and we got out to a real slow start and fell behind 31-0. So we had to work hard to get out of that hole, but we weren't able to make it all the way back.

How does it feel to win the Big Ten in your first year?
It feels great, Illinois hasnt won the Big Ten since 2001 so tehy were overdue for a win.

What bowl do you think the Illini will end up in?
I feel like we will end up in the Rose Bowl because of our Big Ten Championship. There is a small chance we might squeak into the Nation Championship Game but that is a long shot.

The Illini are set to take on Northwestern in Evanston tomorrow. This is the final game of the season and hopefully Illinois can win it to keep their hopes of a big ten title alive. If the Illini win and Penn State loses the Illinois wins the Big ten and vice versa. The Illini are a much better team this year and much more talented so they should win this one as long as they keep their concentration.

Bye Week

September 19, 2008

Weekly Report Posted: September 11, 2008 19:37

The Illinis have a bye week this week preparing for Penn State next week. We caught up with Coach Camara earlier this week and asked him some questions.

Did you expect to be 3-0 going into the Penn State game?
Well as a coach i believe my team can win every game. Especially with the talent that we have here at Illinois. But you never know what can happen in games especially when you play a high caliber team like Missouri.

What player has been the biggest surprise for you so far this season?
I'm very pleased with the play of Juice Williams. He is leading this offense and slinging the ball around without making a lot of mistakes, i'm really proud of him and he has come a long way since last season.

How do you see the rest of the year turning out?
I would like to win the Big Ten, but our main focus right now is on Penn State University.

What game are you looking forward to most?
I'm really looking forward to the Ohio State game, right now we are both undefeated and hopefully we can reach the showdown like that and make this a great experience for our fans.
