#6 Iowa Destroys #1 Texas, 58-0
The Hawkeyes definitely looked like a #1 team out there as they destroyed a #1 Texas team. The Hawks were led by their SR HB Jevon Pugh who had 306 rushing yards in the game and added 4 TD.
The Hawks not only looked good on the ground but they also did some damage in the air with the QB Marvin McNutt who had a personal best with a QB Rating of 196. He passed for 217 yards and a TD and was 10-15 on the day. His leading receiver was WR Pat Rogers with 5 receptions and 166 yards, averaging 33.2 yards a catch and adding 1 TD.
On the defensive side, the Hawks were led by the back-up DE to Lebron Daniel, Trey Haynes. Haynes had 8 Tkls (8 TFL), 5 Sks, and a FF.
With the win, the Iowa Hawkeyes move up to a #3 rating in the nation and are that much closer to getting into the National Championship game at the end of the season.
