Wildcats fall to Tide 31-28
Tuscaloosa, AL - Kentucky couldn't seal the deal against the #20 Alabama Crimson Tide, losing their first conference game 31-28 with a bitter taste in their mouth.
The game was back and forth all the way until the fourth quarter, and Kentucky actually led 28-24 with 3:17 left in the game. But Alamaba wouldn't bow down quietly, as QB John Parker Wilson's TD to WR Leon Mullins with 54 seconds left in the game gave them the win.
Coach J.Camp and the Wildcats found themselves throwing more than they usually do, QB Curtis Pulley threw 39 times and HB Alfonso Smith took just 10 carries. But Pulley looked good, completing a career high 27 of 39 for 292 yards & 4 TD... but he also had three picks.
"You play the best you can, but you can't win them all," Coach Camp said to reporters.
After three straight road games, Kentucky heads home for the first time this season, hosting Florida Atlantic(0-3).
