Bitten By the Wolfe, Miami Drops Second Straight

Just two weeks after handing Georgia Tech their only loss of the season the Miami Hurricanes have now submerged themselves in a hole. It started last week with an overtime loss to rival Florida State, but the woes wouldn't stop there as Coach Tares and his Miami squad dropped their first home game against in conference foe, North Carolina State.

Ronnie was not very happy about the situation "There's only so much I can do as a coach, Im not throwing interceptions, I'm not fumbling, our kids need to get out there and play fundamentally sound football, not this garbage that their last coach taught them."

The Wolfpack maintained the lead most of the way through except for about 3 minutes in the third quarter when the Canes' Daren Daly nailed two field goals to put his team up, 16-10. NC State fired right back and with just 58 seconds left, running back, Jamelle Eugene broke loose and used his amazing speed for a 73 yard run to regain a lead by one point.

After throwing six interceptions last week against Florida State coach Tares wasnt sure on who to bring out this game so he let both quarterbacks have touches.

"I wasnt really putting all my trust in Kyle because he basically screwed us last week, So I threw in Freeman who didnt do much better."

Kirby Freeman on the ensuing drive while trying to aim a bullet to Same Shields outside shoulder was picked off by Miguel Scott which put the Pack in position for a 37 yard field goal to extend their lead to 20-16.

NC State's scores kept a coming until they were up by 11 and with only 3:31 left in the game Kyle Wright seemed to finally catch on.

Wright led a great orchestrated drive down field passes left and right were completions, a 5 yard run by Javarris James capped it off to cut the lead at 27-22 as the two pointer was failed.

Now here's where things get dissapointing once again. Miami's Anthony Reddick picked off a pass and Miami had the ball on the opposing 21 yard line, perfect scoring position right? Just a minute after leading a great drive Kyle Wright once again fluttered under pressure, the senior tossed a duck into the endzone which was picked off with only one minute left in the game.

Great play by Calais Campbell on defense forced a punt but with no timeouts left the Hurricanes were able to only make it down to the Wolfpack's 14 yard line before time expired.

"I didnt know the spike ball button so before I could line up the last play the clock zipped to zero, I really needa learn that button."
