Penn State Kicks of 2010 Season
PSU won their 15th straight home game against SEC For Alabama.
Pat Devlin started his first game for the Lions since his injury last year. The fans were still talking about the youngster Cross who scored on a pass from Devlin but also returned a kickoff 99 yards for a TD.
The Lions defense was also strong in this game limiting both the passing and rushing capabilities of the Crimson Tide.
This was the only game on the schedule this week for Big 10 action.
Penn State will have to travel to Wisconsin, Michigan and Ohio State, all highly ranked teams. Needless to say winning their third Big 10 title in a row with that schedule will be a very tuff tast for the Lions.
"I am very happy with how our young players did this week, especially our young line and our young tailback. I knew we would be good defensively but you just never know until the season kicks off."
