Key player: Welcome to the big time, David Miller. The junior has his breakout game in his third career start, a 14-carry, 190-yard gem in Gerald J. Ford Stadium.
The skinny: This game sure looked a lot better in the offseason when Texas was ranked No. 12 and coming off a Big 12 title. The Longhorns are now 0-2 and apparently can't defend between the tackles. ... Chance Bright is picked off twice, but his first completion is a beauty -- a 46-yard lob off play action to Eric Gibson, drags one toe before going out the back of the end zone and into the band and photographers. ... CB Josh Snyder gets an INT. ... Defense holds the Longhorns to 109 passing yards, a much prettier number than the 300 that Cincinnati got in the opener.
