The surprising 3-1 UL-Monroe Warhawks traveled to Jonesboro, Arkansas to take on the 0-4 Indians of Arkansas State in what looked like a game between evenly matched squads. It turned out to be anything but close as ULM routed ASU. Halfback Calvin Dawson set a new school record with 5 rushing touchdowns on the day as the Warhawks went on to win with a blowout score of 69-10. Dawson churned out 219 yards on 25 carries to go along with his 5 touchdowns. He added 3 receptions for 68 yards and one touchdown to total 361 all-purpose yards including the 74 yards he gained in the return game. Lancaster managed a sensational game while helping to put Dawson into the spotlight for the entire game. He contributed 4 total touchdowns, one of which was an 80 yard touchdown pass to Adam Hogan, who finished with 123 yards receiving for the game. The defense performed excellent in holding the ASU offense to 270 yards in total offense. Harry Bradley once again led the way as he collected 6 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 INT, and one pass deflection. The special teams were once again as both return teams had exceptional games. After looking like a million bucks against the Indians, the Warhawks hit the practice fields once again to prepare as they head off to Troy, Alabama for their 12:30 pm kickoff with the Troy Trojans.
