passes what was the 1st test of their season. In a hostile enviorment(Red River Stadium)and with Nebraska having upset in their minds after losing in the Coliseum last year. USC manages to hold up the Cornhuskers from a emotional and fast start.

Nebraska came out strong in the 1st QTR as they held USC's powerful offense to only 3 points and kept them from getting a TD in their redzone. Cornhuskers also led the game after the 1 QTR on a 3 yd TD run by M.Lucky.

In the beginning of the 2nd QTR Trojans and Cornhuskers traded scores back and forth. Cornhuskers would lead 14-10 over the Trojans at one point. But USC finally woke up and the defense stepped up shutting down NEB's offense. Cornhuskers offense would not see another score until late in the 4th QTR when it no longer matter. USC scored 34 consecutive points on NEB without any answers from the Cornhuskers.

We spoke with Taylor Mays after the game, who had a 63 yds int return for TD in mid 4th QTR to really put the game out of reach. "We knew they were going to come out strong , so we just hung in there until their emotion came down, and we just took it to them. They were no match for us"
It seems like this years team has a swagger to them that reminds me of the 2005's team until they lost to Texas in the Rose Bowl. USC looked great in their 1st test of the year, now they will get ready for their Pac-10 opener next week against Washington St.

Other notable performance, Booty completed 26-41 passes, 325 yds and 1 TD. Turner had another strong performance with 7 catches and 95 yds. Maualuga with 11 Tkls in the game and Barrett had 2 Sks.
