UW FALLS APART IN SECOND HALF

Jake Locker threw two first-half touchdown passes as it looked like the game against #18 Arizona (7-1) would remain competitive. The Wildcats ended that notion with a dominant second-half performance, scoring the last 24 points in the game. It was the second straight game in which the Huskies allowed 24 straight second-half points to an opponent.

An inability to run the ball plagued the Huskies throughout the game as Locker was the most effective ground option. In the end, a defense that allowed 476 offensive yards simply was not up to the task of stopping the Tuitama-led offense, and the offense was not up to speed to play in a shootout.
