UT gets an 11 yard TD run by Taylor, 14-7 Vols. UT K Jackson hits a 31 yard FG, 17-7. HB Michael Gibbs runs it in from 22 yards out, 17-14 Vols. QB Marcus "The Future" Sullivan comes in and goes 89 yards for the score on an option, 21-17 Tide. QB Sullivan then goes in from 87 yards out for the score to put us up 28-17 with :36 left in the 2nd quarter. Our defense fails to hold as UT QB Green throws a 78 yard TD pass to Jacobs with no time on the clock. 28-24 Alabama at halftime.

UT K Jackson nails a 53 yard FG to cut it to 28-27 Alabama. UT defensive player Bobo picks off a pass and returns it 56 yards for the score. UT's Jacobs runs it in for the conversion and the Vols now lead 35-28 with 1:31 left in the 3rd. Neyland Stadium is going crazy.

Just :03 into the 4th quarter, HB Gibbs scores on a 12 yard TD run to tie it 35 each. QB Bullocks throws a 26 yard TD pass to HB Gibbs to give us a 42-35 lead with 2:43 left in the game. Our defense collapses and UT QB Green throws a 26 yard TD pass to Jacobs, 42-42 with 2:17 left in the game. We get the ball back with 2:16 left on the clock and we start at our 20. On 1st down QB Sullivan goes for 13 yards to the 33. We go hurry up and QB Sullivan is stuffed for no gain. On 2nd and 10 HB Gibbs goes for 39 yards to the UT 28 yard line for a 1st down. On the next play QB Ricardo Bullocks goes for 4 yards bringing up a 2nd and 6 at the UT 24. On 2nd down HB Gibbs goes for 8 yards to give us a 1st down down to the 18. HB Gibbs then goes for 6 yards to the UT 12 bringing up a 2nd down and 4. HB Tim Poe then goes 3 yards to the 9 and that makes it 3rd and 1. HB Poe then goes 2 yards to the 6 for the first and we call time. K Craig Gunn comes in for a 23 yard FG with :02 left in the game. He nails it and we win 45-42 in thrilling fashion.

This game got a score of 363 which was good enough for 5th on my top 10. Honestly, it was a much better game than that. It was one of the tightest, most difficult games I've ever had the pleasure of playing. I've had several nailbiters with the Volunteers over the years and this one ranks right up there with those. This is the second time I recall kicking a FG to win against the Vols with no time on the clock. I've also had another game in a past dynasty where I scored a TD with no time on the clock to beat them. As for this game, we could not have won it without those two enormous runs by QB Marcus "The Future" Sullivan. That guy is going to be a great one.
