Tide Survives Early Scare from Carolina to take SEC

#6 South Carolina (9-2) has a B offense, a B+ defense, and is B+ overall. They are #13 in pts/gm, #27 in total offense, and #15 in total defense. #1 Alabama (12-0) has an A- offense, an A+ defense, and is A+ overall. We are #1 in pts/gm, #1 in total offense, and #1 in total defense.

FB Dan Sanders gets in from a yard out to give us a 7-0 lead. SC QB Crawford throws a 52 yard TD pass to Moore, 7-7. QB Ricardo Bullocks throws a 71 yard TD pass to WR Bo Butler, 14-7. SC QB Crawford ties it up when the throws a 38 yard pass to Cox, 14-14.

SC K Young hits a 38 yarder to put the Gamecocks up 17-14. HB Dedrick Rhoden scores on a 7 yard run to put us back on top 21-17. QB Bullocks finds WR Butler again and this 42 yard TD pass extends our lead to 28-17. :10 later QB Bullocks throws an 11 yard TD pass to WR Nathan Richard, 35-17. K Craig Gunn finishes the first half scoring when he boots a 48 yard FG, 38-17.

HB Michael Gibbs scores on an 11 yard TD run, 45-17.

K Gunn hits a 27 yarder to finish the scoring, 48-17.

I didn't think either team was going to stop each other. Late in the 2nd quarter we were leading Carolina 21-17 and the offenses hadn't been stopped all day. Just under two minutes remaining in the half and SC QB Crawford threw a pass to Cox and FS David Miller blasted him causing a fumble that was recovered by Tyler. This was a huge momentum change in the game and the Gamecocks would not score again.
