#14 South Carolina (8-3) has a B+ offense, a B defense, and is B+ overall. They are #3 in pts/gm, #9 in total offense, and #48 in total defense. #1 Alabama (12-0) is A+ across the board. We are #1 in everything except total offense (6th) and pass offense (116th).

SC K Young puts in a 31 yarder, 3-0 Gamecocks.

HB Elton Razzano scores on a 7 yard TD run, 7-3 Tide. HB Tim Poe scores on a 9 yard TD run, 14-3. SC K Young chips in a 23 yard FG to make it 14-6. K Craig Gunn boots a 38 yard FG to make it 17-6 Alabama at halftime.

K Gunn puts home a 35 yard FG, 20-6. SC K Young chips in a 26 yard FG, 20-9.

Leading 20-9 with 3:46 to play in the game, a 4th and 10 for Alabama at the South Carolina 47 happened. Here's the call... "The Tide are lining up to punt it away. Here's the punt... NO! They're going to throw it! He's going to try to throw. ...and it's the Tight End!" A big 14 yard pass play to TE Nick Greco gives the Tide a first and 10 at the SC 33 yard line. The Tide would go on to score when QB Marcus "The Future" Sullivan would throw a 4 yard TD pass to TE Greco a little while later, 27-9. SC QB Crawford throws a 39 yard TD pass to Nolen. They go for two but are stopped, 27-15.

This was a sloppy game by both sides. The defenses for each team played well and caused a lot of turnovers. That 4th down pass by our punter Jon Berry gave us a huge lift.
