Tide Rolls over Ponies
SMU (1-4) has a C offense, a C+ defense, and is B- overall. They are #111 in pts/gm, #84 in total offense, & #47 in total defense. #1 Alabama (5-0) is A+ across the board. We are #1 in everything except total offense (4th), pass offense (112th), & pass defense (6th). Weather: Clear.
QB Marcus "The Future" Sullivan thrwos a 6 yard TD pass to HB Tim Poe, 7-0. A 39 yard FG by K Craig Gunn makes the lead 10.
A 15 yard TD run by HB Adam Leonard puts us up 17. A beautiful 79 yard punt return for a TD makes it 24-0. A 55 yard TD pass from QB Sullivan to WR Mike Bishop puts us up 31. Then, a 65 yard punt return TD by PR Adam Leonard makes it 38-0 at the half.
HB Poe scores on runs of 19 and 4 and this game is over, 52-0. SMU QB Burgess throws a 67 yard TD pass to Parks.

Alabama was just too much for the ponies to even make it a competition in this one. Unfortunately, QB Marcus "The Future" Sullivan was injured and knocked out of this game.
