All Quiet in Week 7

#16 Maryland (4-1) has a B offense, an A- defense, and is B+ overall. They are #28 in pts/gm, #49 in total offense, and #35 in total defense. We have an A- offense, an A+ defense, and we're A+ overall. We are #1 in pts/gm, #1 in total offense, and #1 in total defense. Weather: Rain.

HB Andre Justice breaks out to a 67 yard TD run, 7-0 Bama. Terps KR Hudson returns the ensuing kickoff 103 yards to tie the game at 7. There were no less than 4 block in the backs on this play by Maryland, but not one of them were called. Talk about some home cooking.

K Josh Smith hits a 38 yard FG to put Bama up 10-7. Terps HB Larson scores on an 11 yard TD run, 14-10 Maryland. K Smith hits a long 50 yard FG to make it 14-13 home team. With under 1:30 left in the 2nd quarter, the Terps QB drops back to pass on 3rd down. He finds his TE near the back of the endzone. However, ROLB Josh King separates the TE from the ball and forces a FG. Terps K Thibodeaux hits a 21 yard FG and the Terps lead 17-13. QB Michael Johnson throws a 45 yard TD pass to WR Sam Fontaine, 20-17 Bama with :39 left. K Smith hits a 47 yard FG with no time left in the half to make it 23-17 at half.

No scoring in the third quarter.

K Smith hits a 48 yard FG with 1:40 left in the game. Terps HB Larson takes it in from 49 yards out to make it 26-24 Tide with :54 left. Alabama recovers the onside kick and runs out the clock.

This game was way too close. Our offensive struggles continued. Ughh!
