Tide wins in lackluster effort against underachieving Spartans

Michigan State (1-6) has a B offense, a B+ defense, and is B+ overall. They are #90 in pts/gm, #118 in total offense, and #88 in total defense. We are #1 in everything except pass offense (83rd), rush defense (21st), and turnover diff (47th). The Spartans have vastly underachieved this season. This will definitely bring our strength of schedule down. Weather: Clear.

After CB A.J. London blocks a punt, CB Thomas Ferguson scoops it up and runs it in from 41 yards, 7-0 Tide. MSU then scores on a 38 yard FG by K Fitzpatrick, 7-3 Bama.

FB Eric Wright plunges in from 4 yards out and it's 14-3. QB Michael Johnson finds WR Sam Fontaine on a 33 yard TD pass, 21-3 Tide.

QB Johnson hooks up with WR Anthony Morris on a 40 yard TD pass, 28-3. CB London blocks another kick and SS Jared Woods grabs it and takes it to the house for a 36 yard fumble return, 35-3.

No scoring in the 4th.

This was a lackluster performance all the way around. Even with the shake up of starting HB Andrew Edwards over HB Andre Justice. CB A.J. London was great blocking two kicks. Up next is those pesky, highly ranked Bulldogs from Mississippi State.
