K Jason Smith hits a 45 yard FG to put the Tide up 3-0. UT HB Taylor goes in from 44 yards out, 7-3 Vols.

UT HB Robinson scores on a 50 yard TD run, 14-3 UT. HB Andrew Edwards breaks a 50 yard TD run of his own to cut it to 14-10. UT HB Robinson scores on a 5 yard TD run with :13 left in the quarter, 21-10 Tenn.

UT HB Robinson scores on an 11 yard TD run and it's 28-10 with Bama in huge trouble. QB Michael Johnson options his way into the endzone from 60 yards to cut the lead to 28-17 at the end of the third.

UT KR Robinson returns the ensuing kickoff 101 yards for a TD. No flags. 35-17 with 5:49 left. The UT defense holds and HB Robinson scores on a 58 yard TD run, 42-17 with 4:36 to go. Uh oh! K Smith hits a 36 yard FG to make it 42-20 with 3:15 remaining. QB Johnson finds WR Sam Fontaine on a 65 yard TD pass to make it 42-27 with 2:54 to play. QB Johnson goes long for WR Fontaine again and this 80 yard TD connection makes it 42-34 with 1:16 to play. UT recovers the onside kick and gets a first down to run out the clock and end our 90 game winning streak.

Well, we had our chances in this one. K Jason Smith missed two FGs. One was a 53 yarder that came up about 4 yards short with only a 1 mph wind in his face. He hit it with 95% strength and with dead on aim. Odd, because he hit a 45 yard FG with this same strength earlier in the game and it went into the tunnel. We lost ROLB Josh King on the second play of the game. We then lost his backup a little later and was playing with the backup LOLB in that position. However, the bottom line was we could not stop the run. UT had 56 pancake blocks to our 7. That's just totally unacceptable. A new win streak will have to start against the Spartans next week.
