Drive was set up by a fantastic 44y punt return by WR#88 Kalvin Moore. RB Dendy Lewis ran 3 times for 10 yards, then Lovelady kept twice on the Ace set option.

Following a missed FG from the 23 yard line (short and hooked right), FAMU got a huge pass over the top that our cover 3 got burned on. Prior to this game I put WR Matthews in at FS to take advantage of his 87 speed, but he was nowhere near this play. I'm moving him to corner. At least half the time he'll be in the play and maybe make a tackle.

Followed an INT thrown by Lovelady in the deep flats - into double coverage. He's not on his game tonight. And FAMU now has full momentum on their own field.

Lovelady hit Kalvin Moore with a 10 yard pass that turned into a 19 yard gainer, and UAPB audibled away from the Rattlers' impact linebacker to knot the score.

Lovelady was again precise on his only pass attempt of the drive, a 17 yarder to Osawemwenze. The TD run was a surprise as Lewis threaded his way through a hole at the line of scrimmage and then outran pursuit.

UAPB defense bent and bent, but held FAMU to a FG even after a first and goal at the 1.

LB Clarence Fuller recovered a FAMU fumble, and two plays later Lewis turned the corner courtesy of good blocking by Matthews.
