A couple of reversals marked the game's early stages. UAPB received the kick and marched to the DC red zone, but a scrambling Lovelady threw a pass right into coverage that was picked off. However, LE Chris Bell came on like Superman with 2 quick sacks to force a Davidson punt, and UAPB was back in great field position. Lovelady could have kept the TD pitch but gave it up to Lewis.

Lovelady waited patiently for Frazier to get open, then led him with a nice throw while I was screaming at him to dump it off to the tailback. I am liking this Pistol formation quite a bit.
