In a route of #2 Boise State, Auburn captured it's first BSC National Championship. Again the defense lead the way creating 5 turnovers. The second half was the story as the Tigers continued to pour it on.

In crushing #4 Florida, #1 Auburn has secured the schools first SEC championship in decades. With a record of 13-0 (9-0) the #1 Tigers now move on to face the #2 Boise State Broncos in the BSC National Championship game. Coach Tylerd02 was ethstatic with how his defense played forcing 5 Florida turnovers and scoring the opening 2 touchdowns. Coach Tylerd02 predicted this could be a breakout year for the Tigers after securing the #2 recruiting classes each of his first 2 seasons at Auburn and the #7 class this season. The Tigers remain strong on the recruiting path as Scouts.com currently has the class ranked #1 overal with 5 blue chippers.
CB Fiowers Breaks School Record

CB Jerone Fiowers broke the Auburn school record for most interceptions in a season when he tallied to more in the National Championship game to finish the season with 9. The previous record was 8. Auburn wishes Fiowers best of luck at the next level and congratulates him on his accomplishments.
HB McCoy Breaks Auburn School Record

HB Shane McCoy broke the Auburn school record for rushing touchdowns in a season with 18. The previous record stood since 1971. McCoy rushed for 2 scores in defeating Florida in the SEC Championship game. Auburn congratulates McCoy on his record breaking season.
TE Garcia Breaks School Record

TE Shannon Garcia broke the school record for recieving touchdowns in the season with 13. He raised his total with another touchdown in the SEC championship game. Garcia also garned the Top TE award for his record breaking season. Auburn congratulates Shannon Garcia on breaking the school record for receiving touchdowns in a season and receiving the Top TE award.
QB Furr breaks Auburn school record

QB Deron Furr has broken the Auburn school record for passing touchdowns in a season. The previous record was set at 23 touchdowns held by Kodi Burns in 2009. Deron threw 3 touchdowns in the SEC conference championship game to finish the season with 29. Auburn congratulates Furr on his remarkable achievement.
Chris Harris Injuried

QB Chris Harris has suffered a broken collar bone in his throwing shoulder Coach Tylerd02 revealed today. In a press conference Tylerd02 announced it was likely Harris would miss the rest of the season and Furr would step in.

Coach Tylerd02 announce in a media alert that Sophomore Chris Harris would start against LSU. Chris Harris spelled Deron Furr last week in a overtime win against then #23 Wisconsin. Harris came in to throw for a touchdown and an intercept but never got a chance in overtime as freshman Doby took a interception back for a game winning touchdown. The sophomore will get is first start in an unenviable postion against SEC conference opponent LSU.

After throwing 5 touchdowns in his first game as a starter, Deron Furr in his second game comes back to throw 4 intercepts and was replaced by Chris Harris in an overtime win against #23 Wisconsin. "Deron struggled out there today, Camp Randal is not an easy place to come into and win but we were lucky enough to come through thanks to the defense. We'll review the tape and make a decision on who will start next week against LSU. Ideally you would have liked to be set at quarerback going into the beginning of conference play but we don't have that luxury."

Coach Tylerd02 named Deron Furr the starting quarterback for the #15 Auburn Tigers. Furr and Chris Harris went into spring ball battling for the starting job. "I believe Deron gives this team the best chance to win right now, I think his arm accurancy was something that allows him to make all the throws. Deron will start the first game and we'll go from there."

Coach Tylerd02 has decided to go a different direction on defense after collaspes the last two seasons on the defensive side. Erik Poehler who has been defensive coordinator and linebackers coach the last 3 years has been let go. Coach Tylerd02 is proud to announce Herb Grossley has been named Defensive Coordinator/Linebackers coach. "Herb brings a nastyness that I think was missing the last couple years. But most importantly he brings a new scheme, the 3-4 will now be our base defense and I look forward what our linebackers can do when they're allowed to run all over the field and make plays" said Coach Tylerd02. Also let go was offensive line/run game coordinator Jessie Augustin. "When you first in the country when it comes to giving up sacks, something needs to change and change came." said Coach Tylerd02. Ken Larabell has been hired as the new offensive line coach.
