Hoosiers Move to 3-1

BLOOMINGTON-- The Indiana Hoosiers took control of the game with a 19 point 2nd quarter and never looked back as they trounced UConn 26-3. Blake Powers tossed two TD passes in the decisive 2nd quarter on his way to 276 yards for the afternoon.

The Huskies could never find their offense as they managed only 239 total yards on the day. RB Terry Caulley proved to be the best weapon for UConn, rushing for 104 yards on 24 carries. Unfortunately, the Huskie passing game was only able to muster a mere 113 yards. DJ Hernandez was 13 of 26 on the day with one interception.

Coach Hoeppner was pleased with the effort in the final tune-up for Big Ten play which starts next week when the Hoosiers take on Wisconsin. "We played solid in all facets of thegame today. We will need to play well next week when we face the Badgers, they are a very, very good football team."
