Wolverines claim second road win, routing #3 Oklahoma 56-33
Michigan's fans haven't seen them win a game at home yet, but the Wolverines have turned out to be world-beaters on the road. Michigan claimed their second win over a top 5 team, knocking off #3 Oklahoma in Norman, 56-33.
The Wolverines were led by a superb performance from junior HB Michael Shaw, who rushed for 125 yards and four TDs. Shaw added 18 yards on one catch and 121 yards on four kick returns.
The Wolverines were able to score quickly and often--none of their touchdown drives lasted longer than 31 seconds. Oklahoma outgained Michigan 406-343 and held the ball over six minutes longer (17:08-10:52), but the Wolverines benefitted from short fields several times throughout the day and took advantage of a porous Sooner defense.
