This was(from a fans perspective) the best game of the year. It was a tightly contested battle that went down to the wire. Ohio started the scoring late in the second quarter. They passed their way to a TD, and then was able to tack on a field goal as time was expiring. The second half was slow to begin with, seeing the Tigers finally get on the board. The forth quarter was closing down and things looked grim for the Tigers being down 17-7. They went on a successful streak late in the game, scoring on a pass to William Franklin to cut the lead to three for the Bobcats. On the ensuing kickoff Mark Parsons fumbled the ball away, as Martin Rucker recovered giving the Tigers one last try for a score. Needing only three points, most people assumed they would milk the clock, get the field goal, and head to overtime. Well, Coach Estes wasn't one of these people. He called a hail mary on the first play of this new drive. Brandon Coleman was able to connect with Tommy Saunders for the go ahead TD. The Tigers then proceeded to play solid defense, keeping the Bobcats out of the endzone to effectively end the game.
