Pitt Upsets #8 Louisville 31-28
An away game against the #8 team in the nation, Louisville. You can't expect much from the #70 in the nation team, Pittsburgh Panthers.
Brian Brohm, Louisville's star quarterback, looked to tear apart this Pittsburgh defense. On his first pass attempt, Brohm is picked off. Brohm had only thrown 4 picks prior to this game and would finish this game with twice as many.
The Cardinals went up 14-0 early, but that didn't stop the up and coming Pat Bostick from leading the Panthers back.
With :02 left in the the half, Louisville scored and was kicking off before the end of the half. Kevin Collier fielded the kick at the 1 and went up the middle and was untouched as he broke his own record for longest kick return touchdown at 99 yards.
The Panthers and the Cardinals went back and forth the entire game and it came down to Brian Brohm interception that gave the Panthers the ball at their 20 with 45 seconds left. Pat Bostick led the Panthers down the field and to the 1 yard line and left 7 seconds left on the clock. Conor Lee kicked the game winning field goal and watched as the Panthers pulled off their greatest upset in years.
The Panthers are now back at .500 and are on high spirits after the Louisville upset.
