Pitt Shuts Out GTU 30-0
With all 3 of Pitt's in-season recruits visiting this week, winning was vital. Pitt was predicted to win but not by much. But Georgia Tech never showed up to play as Pitt triumphed over them 30-0.
Here are the Top 3 Panthers Plays from the Game:
#3. Late in the 3rd quarter when Georgia Tech showed signs of life, Aaron Berry shut them down by grabbing an interception, which was one of two picks on the day. Berry now looks as if he'll set a school record for interceptions this year if he keeps on the pace hes going.
#2. On the very last play of the game, Georgia Tech was punting. They punted it to Kevin Collier who went no where but the play was called back for offsides. Georgia Punted again but this time left the right side of the field wide open. Collier took the ball from his 40 and was gone. 60 yards and his first career punt return touchdown. Collier is a finalist in the Best Returner Award Nominations. At this rate he is bound to win it.
#1. Early in the second quarter, when the game was still tied at 0, Pat Bostick hit Oderick Turner on a corner route. Turner broke the tackle and ran another 40 yards for the score. The Panthers never looked back from this point as they cruised to their 30-0 shutout.
