#6 SMU Finishes Legendary Season

If not for an early season slip up to Hawaii on the road, this SMU team could have been in talks for the National Championship game. How quickly the tide has turned. After losing one of the most successful QBs in its history, SMU and QB Henderson don't skip and engineer a masterful 12-1 season and capture the WAC crown. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Coach Bishop has inked a 4yr extension to remain the Mustang's coach through the 2014 season.

This is the last year of Coach Bishop's contract. Will he do well enough to warrant a contract extension? Or is this the end of the road for the Air Raid coach? With a new seasoned QB taking over in JR Jace Henderson, the Mustangs looks to reload and finally capture that ever elusive WAC crown.
