Don't throw the ball Spencer!

Not a very pretty game for the Tennessee Volunteers by any stretch of imagination. Vol fans thought things might be a good game once again down 7-3 early in the second half but that was when South Carolina exploded.

Carolina raked up 40 unanswered points the rest of the game and made Tennessee understand how much further they had to go to be a decent football team again.. Robert Alexander had a very tough time getting any production at all going up against a A- Defense. He did fight for all the yardage he could get and get many tough yards. It also did not help that QB Spencer Riley learned how to throw the football and make completions....that were returned for scores going the other way.

"Well, as it is known we got physically dominated today, but that will happen when you have very little players playing and having some play on both sides of the ball. Our lack of depth on offense and defense simply hurts. It is like a nagging wound that won't go away. It is disappointing that none of our in-season recruits wanted to sign with us, having lost those I hope we can get some great local Tennessee kids to come play for the pride of their state." A somber Coach Batten said.
