Terrible loss for Tennessee. Great Win for Arkansas.
Arkansas sitting at 1-7 and Tennessee sitting at 3-6, what does that mean? That translate into a rainy day in Knoxville with about 60k in the stands. Futility at it's best was displayed today on defense and QB Sam Riley.
Robert Alexander showed the grit and heart of a true Volunteer today willing Tennessee to 24 points. He managed to return a punt back for a touchdown. Tennessee's defense did manage to show up and force a stop with about 1 minute remaining in the game. However, Arkansas was doing it's best to get the ball back and using their timeouts. With their second timeout called, Tennessee did it's usual play; the option, and when they snapped the ball Sam Riley conviently fumbled the ball and B. Johnson scooped it up and took it to the house as time was expiring.
"This is a terrible back-breaking loss. I feel for my guys, they fought through the mud, and terrible rain and we had one stupid miscue on offense cost a badly needed win. Hopefully we can regroup and make the Kentucky game respectable." With this loss Tennessee now has lost six straight games.
