Too Talented and Deep Bama Beats Vols

Clearly, watching this game unfold was a pure masterpiece. Tennessee came to play today and managed to lead 10-7 at halftime. The Volunteers truly gave it their all agianst #19 Alabama but just did not have enough in the tank to manage a great win over a solid A rated team.

"Clearly, when Robert had that touchdown to start the game, I thought we were going to be in it. We were in it even when we hit that FG to only be down 28-13. Hoping for a stop, which did not come about, was our last chance but Bammer is clearly the better team this year, but in time we WILL be feared again!" An Optimistic Coach Batten said.

If a fan enjoys good old fashioned smashmouth type of football, this was it. Tennessee and Alabama only threw the ball a total of 13 times today. Tennessee showed its only strength was the option and it wound up hurting them once Robert Alexander got knocked out of the game in the third quarter.

Clearly losing Robert Alexander at the start of the second half hurt Tennessee's chances of making it a game in the second half. The D rated defense hung in there as hard and long as they could but simply did not have enough in the tank to hold Alabama to 7 points like they did in the first half.

You have to take your hat off to the depleted Volunteers. Having Butch Jones place Tennessee on the Death Penalty it totally took a major hit in recruiting. So that leaves only 49 players on the roster and it was told that 10 of those are redshirted it really is amazing to see 39 players able to play at the Division 1 level and accumulated three wins this season.
