If there was any dispute as to who the best teams in the Big 12 were before Saturday, that question was put to rest after 4 grueling quarters in Dallas.

#5 Oklahoma (5-1) visited Dallas Stadium to challenge the #4 Texas Longhorns to their annual showdown. The score may make the game appear to be one-sided, but in actuality, it took a heroic defensive effort from Texas to pull out the win in the 4th quarter.

The game began ostensibly enough, with Texas taking their opening possession 71 yards on 6 plays to notch an early 7-0 lead on the Sooners. However, Sam Bradford and OU would take their next possession down the field to tie the game at 7-7 with 1:09 remaining in the 1st quarter.

In the second, each team would trade jabs, with the Horns scoring on a 11-yd TD pass from Colt McCoy to go up 14-7. OU would finish the first half scoring by adding a field goal from 52 yards, to make a 14-10 halftime score.

In the second half, the defensive showdown ensued. Texas couldn't quite get the ball in the end zone, and added another field goal in the quarter to make the game 17-10. Oklahoma would get another field goal of their own to end the 3rd quarter at 17-13, 'Horns.

The real turning point came in the 4th quarter, at the 12:15 mark. Facing a 3rd and 8 from the OU 35, Mack Brown rolled the dice and threw long. McCoy connected with Quan Cosby for the TD to give Texas a 24-13 lead. OU would take the ball out to their own 47, before Bradford threw an interception to Dustin Davis who would return the ball 14 yards to the Sooner 45. On the ensuing play, running back Jacob Hartman took the ball right over center for the touchdown, to essentially ice the game.
