MINER'S WIN THE BATTLE OF I-10
The Miners' offense came out on absolute fire this week against New Mexico State. Offensively they were lead by true freshmen running back Chad Roberson who ran the ball 17 times for only 78 yards but had 5 touchdowns. Terrell manned the passing attack once again throwing for over 300 yards, the majority of those yards yet again going to stud WR Ke' Von Ahmad. On the defensive side of the ball, the Miners were led by true Sophomore LOLB Rashaad Johnson. Johnson had 10 tackles on the day and 7 of those tackles were for a loss. Once again our reporter caught up with Coach Konz after the game and he gave this quote, "Tonight we got a sight of only the good things that yet to come for this program. When you have two underclassmen leading you on both sides of the ball, not only is that good for the competition factor in practice, but it also goes to show recruits that we put the best players on the field at every position no matter the age. Come join us and prove yourself if you think you are worthy to be on the field from the get-go."
MINER ON!!!!
