2016 Week 8

Speaking from a professional perspective, what we witnessed on that field today was a total fucking ass kicking. Coach Konz took off his play-calling headset at the beginning of the Fourth quarter because he had had enough and wanted to see just what this offense could do without his play-calling ability and to just let the kids have fun. When asked after the game why he never took out the starters in this game Coach Konz responded with the following comment, "We all know that Texas Tech is my alma mater, however, I do not believe that they value or respect UTEP as an academic institution or a football program. I wanted our kids to show them that they are not all they are gassed up to be and that our program can absolutely thrash the upper tier of programs in the country just like we do our conference." On defense for the Miners they were led by senior ROLB Trenton Thompson, he led the team with 8 solo tackles, 4 for loss and 2 sacks. Watch out America, these Miners are mining with Minecraft diamond pickaxes now and refuse to slow down.
