Bama wins battle of #1 vs. #2 total offense

#1 Alabama (5-0) is A+ across the board. We are #1 in everything except pass offense (66th), rush defense (5th), and turnover differential (16th). Kentucky (3-1) is B across the board. They are #2 in pts/gm, #12 in total offense, and #100 in total defense. Weather: Clear.

QB Jesse Russ starts things off with a 3 yard TD pass to TE Sam Smith after the defense forced a turnover on UK's first possession, 7-0 Bama. UK's Beck breaks an 88 yard TD run, 7-7.

QB Russ options his way into the endzone from 24 yards out, 14-7 Tide. HB Jonas Barnes busts a 67 yard TD run, 21-7. QB Russ throws a 4 yard TD pass to TE Smith, 28-7. LE Mike Speaks beats his man, deflects the pass, picks it, and takes it in from 50 yards for the score with :16 left in the half, 35-7.

QB Russ throws a 67 yard TD pass to HB Barnes, 42-7. HB Barnes goes in from 8 yards out, 49-7. FB Jeremy Fulmore goes right up the middle and in for the score from 23 yards out, 56-7.

UK's Cross picks off a pass and returns it 37 yards for the score, 56-14. WR Gerald Davis goes in on a WR sweep option from 8 yards out, 63-14. UK's Ball somehow amazingly scores on a 78 yard TD run when we had this play stopped several times. QB Joe Carter throws a 5 yard TD pass to FB Titus Brewer, 70-21.

We played much better in this game than in the previous. We did allow some huge runs at times, but we will work on getting that improved.
