Georgia Tech Survives the Swamp Despite Injuries to Stars

November 6, 2015

Game Report Posted: December 30, 2009 21:56

Despite losing star quarterback T.J. Paul for the game in the third quarter, Georgia Tech held on down the stretch, converting numerous big plays from the defense into a wild 17-10 win over Florida in The Swamp. Already without receivers James Hatchell and Bobby Palmer, the offense also played at times without top receiver Ryan Ellis, who suffered a shoulder injury in the game, and leading rusher William Holt, who twice left the contest with minor injuries.

The Ramblin' Wreck finished SEC play at 8-0, with two games against ACC foes South Carolina and Clemson remaining.
