Louisville Cardinals Upset LSU Tigers Perfect Record 38-26

The #11 Louisville Cardinals upset the once undefeated #2 LSU Tigers 38-26.The Cardinals came to play with their game faces on and the home crowd behind them cheering at high decibels.LSU's passing game proved to be one of the most dominant Louisville has seen so far this season.LSU's Ryan Perrilloux completed 16 passes on 28 attempts for 346 yards and 3 touchdowns. It would have been a total nightmare for Louisville's secondary if the Cardinals didn't come away with 4 game changing interceptions to bring back the momentum in Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium.

Louisville's Brian Brohm managed to connect 2 touchdown passes to Harry Douglas. It wasn't Louisville's passing game that had the offense moving as much running back Anthony Allen.Allen scored 2 key touchdowns that kept the Tigers out of reach late in the game. This game happened to be Anthony's first appearance in 2007 and he didn't want to disappoint critics.

Allen managed to pick up 91 yards rushing and 2 Touchdowns.
Louisville's starting running back George Stripling was held in check with no yards on 8 attempts giving Anthony Allen the green light to come into the game.

The Cardinals running game couldn't have been accomplished without the Louisville defense playing lights out most of the game. The defense allowed 412 yard of total offense but stopped LSU with interceptions and fumble recoveries forcing LSU's defense to be on the field to get tired quicker.

"We got burnt by the tight end all night but hey we managed to find a way to stop them from scoring more than us."Louisville CB Rod Council to on field reporters.

"I was excited when Coach put me in today because I thought George Stripling was going to eat the LSU Defense alive on the ground coming into this game."When Coach put me in everyone was thinking pass since I'm known for catching screen passes from last season but we fooled them with the run."I ran sweep patterns left and sweep patterns right and they just couldn't guess where I was going next."Louisville running back Anthony Allen told the local press.

"This makes 4 in a row for us!" "We are streaking now and not going to dwell on our season opening loss." "We Beat 2 teams in the nation ranked #2 and still get no love from the media.""Something has got to give."Louisville head coach Moose Linville announced in his after game press conference.

#8 Louisville will face #7 Arkansas at Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium next week.More News at A Later Date
