2008 Week 7

Michigan got back to it's winning ways as they beat Toledo 27-17. It was another struggle for the Wolverines as they game wasn't in hand until the fourth quarter. Coach RR felt they were the slower team on the field and that Toledo surprised him with their speed. Michigan decided to play the speed game along with the Rockets as Sam McGuffie exploded for 128 yards and 2 tds. "Sam was terrific out there except for that one fumble, we will have to get him to protect the ball a bit better, but we are pleased with his effort." Threet once again had the interception bug, but other than that, he constantly hit his receivers as he completed 80% of his passes. Toledo gave Michigan a good run for their money but just couldn't keep up for four quarters. Donovan Warren sealed the victory in the 4th for Michigan as he intercepted two passes. Michigan heads on the road to Happy Valley next week.
