Pitt Defeats Purdue 27-21

Pitt started off the season with a big win over the Purdue Boilermakers. Pitt was led by Junior quarterback Pat Bostick and Sophomore runningback LeSean McCoy. The final score was 27-21 Pittsburgh.

Here are the Top 3 Panthers Plays of the Game:

#3. Pat Bostick hit Maurice Williams on a corner route which brought the Panthers down to the 2 yard line and set up a score. Bostick went 10 completions for 16 attempts on the day.

#2. After being set up by Pat Bostick, LeSean McCoy ran the ball in from the 2 yard line for his first touchdown of the year.

#3. With fan favorite Aaron Berry in the Pro's now, someone needs to step in to fill his shoes. Jovani Chappel was just the man to do it. When Purdue showed signs of a game winning drive, Chappel picked off a pass and returned it all the way for the touchdown, which is exactly what Berry would have done.
