2009 Week 7

Pitt needed to win this game against Syracuse. 2 out of 5 desperately needed recruits were visiting and a loss would not be taken. Especially with possible future quarterback Steve Newberry on campus. Pitt did infact win the game in a great defensive finish. Pitt pulled in Steve Walker (WR) out of Sandusky, Ohio with the win.

#3. Pat Bostick completed a 30 yard pass to Maurice Williams for the score jsut before halftime to give himself 8 touchdowns on the season.

#2. Defensive End, Myles Caragein, had a career day with 3 drive ending sacks including one that ended the game. He also had a forced fumble. Caragein was named Big East Defensive Player of the Week.

#1. Kevin Collier took in another major returning record as he broke the longest punt return record with a 82 yard punt return and touchdown. Collier has gone down as one of the top returners in Pitt and even NCAA history and he will surely be missed next season.
