All Quiet in Week 2

Volunteers offense carries team to victory.
Army came into today's game ranked 119th, Tennessee showed up at 99th. In the "football" game that was played, Tennessee showed something that was rarely seen in the first three years of Coach Batten's tenure; a passing game. It is also noted that about 10,000 showed up to watch this shootout.
However, the passing game did not steal the show for today's game, Justin Smith did. Justin Smith simply shredded the C- Army defense for 452 yards and five touchdowns. Army was very jealous of Justin Smith and their halfback shredded Tennessee's D rated defense to a tune of 431 yards and four touchdowns.
This game had the feel of a track meet. One halfback would get the ball and run down the field, and then the other would copy-cat him. Two records were set today, the first was Justin Smith running so wild, he broke Robert Alexanders rushing in a game record. Army's broke the record for yards rushed against Tennessee.
"I am very happy for our offense, but not very happy about our defense. David Minton is by far a great running backs coach and offensive coordinator. He has a very crucial part of designing our game plan. I think he does a great job at churning out halfbacks, hopefully another school wont take him away. I must say however beating a team that big and scoring 79 is a good goal, I wanted to score 80 on the little Yankees, but I guess that will have to wait for another game." Said a very happy Coach Batten.
