Cowboys clinch second straight MWC title
For the second straight year the Wyoming Cowboys are the Mountain West Conference Champions. The Cowboys clinched with the victory over San Diego State with a final score of 42-6. With the victory, the Cowboys improve to 11-1 under Coach T at War Memorial Stadium, which is becoming one of the toughest places for opponents to play.
Again led by Wynel Seldon, the Cowboys showed why they are the #14 team in the nation. Seldon rushed for 169 yards and 3 touchdowns which brings his total to a season record 16, eclipsing the old record of 13. The defense forced preseason first team QB Damien Lupo to throw 5 interceptions, two in the endzone and one which was returned for a touchdown by freshman stud Tom Merriman.
