2008 Week 15

In a game that featured one of the best passing defenses in the nation against one of the best passing teams in the nation, and one of the best rushing defenses in the nation against one of the best rushing teams in the nation, you might conclude that this game could get interesting. Boy did it!

With just over a minute remaining, Wynel Seldon scored his 2nd touchdown of the game and then rushed for his second 2 point conversion of the game to bring the Cowboys even with Hawaii at 33-33 and eventually send the game to overtime.

In the first overtime, Wyoming had the ball first and it took only two plays before Sween found Kyle Jacobo in the endzone and Wyoming took the lead in overtime 40-33. Hawaii didn't take long to answer, though, as Sapp found Smith in the left corner of the endzone to send the game to a 2nd overtime.

Hawaii got the ball first and on the third play of the possession, Quincy Rogers stepped in front of a Sapp pass and intercepted it giving the Cowboys a chance to win the game. After one play, it looked as if the Cowboys were trying to place the ball in the middle of the field for a game winning field goal attempt, but Seldon broke through the middle of the line and scampered 16 yards to paydirt for his 3rd rushing score of the game to give Wyoming the win and an undefeated regular season.

Seldon finished the game with a record 255 yards on yet another record 47 carries to go along with his three scores. Seldon has now set the season rushing record, season scoring record, career rushing record and career scoring record for the Cowboys.
