Not so fast...

Winston-Salem, N.C. (AP) - For the defending ACC Champion Wake Forest Demon Deacons (0-3), this was supposed to be the game to get the season back on track. After all, even though they lost to two top 25 teams in Boston College and Nebraska, they should of easily been able to handle the Army Black Knights (2-1) right? As Lee Corso would say, "Not so fast, my friend."

Things started off smoothly for Coach Ghettoshark and his black Knights, marching down the field to an 11 yard scoring run by Jamal Robinson. Later in the first, Adam DeMarco would nail a 40 yard field goal to put the Black Knights up 10-0. Wake Forest would answer back in the second, with a 40 yard field goal of their own, courtesy of Sam Swank. However, three straight scoring drives by Army led to a 27-3 halftime lead.

During the middle of the third quarter, Wake RB Josh Adams would put a spark back into his Demon Deacons with a 65 yard touchdown run, narrowing the gap to 17, but a Carson Williams pass would put Army back up by 24. Down, but not out, Wake Forest would score 17 unanswered points to open up the fourth and crawl back within 7 and with more than half a quarter to play. Perhaps, just maybe, the Demon Deacons would be spared an embarrassing upset against Army, out of all schools.

Again, "Not so fast, my friend." Jamal Robinson would eventually score his third touchdown of the day to seal the 41-27 upset for the Black Knights.

"This game was special for us. It showed me that if we execute, we can beat some quality teams. Wake Forest was the defending ACC Champions. And you could take that 0-2 record worth a grain of salt, since both of the losses were against ranked teams. And what makes this game even better was that we made mistakes. I'm not trying to say that mistakes are good, but when you can win without playing a perfect game...that's what you need to be successful," said Ghettoshark.

Sophomore QB Carson Williams was 21 for 35 with 267 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 2 picks. Meanwhile, RB Jamal Robinson, despite only having 18 carries for 75 yards, made the most out of those carries scoring three different times. WR Jeremy Trimble had a career day, hauling in 10 passes for 177 yards, with a longest completion of 52 yards.

"Our passing game wasn't without it's flaws, and one of [Williams'] interceptions helped Wake get back into the game. But we still won, and in the end, that's what matters. Jeremy [Trimble] really stepped up for us, and made some amazing catches," said Ghettoshark.

The Black Knights will travel to Boston to take on Matt Ryan and his #19 Boston College Eagles (3-0) next week.
