Getting on track

WEST POINT, N.Y. (AP) - After a heartbreaking loss to a ranked Boston College team last week, where at one point Coach Ghettoshark's Black Knights (3-2) were down by only two scores, Ghettoshark told his team that they had two options.

Option one was to keep on thinking of the upset that could of been and have it carry over to this week's game against Temple.

Option two was to channel that negative energy into positive energy and crush the opposition.

Needless to say, the message came through clear as a bell. Midway through the first, a Temple pass to the flats would prove to be the start of their slide as Adam DiMichele's pass was caught only to have the receiver step out of bounds in the endzone to put Army up 2-0. On the ensuing possession, Carson Williams would find Justin Larson 34 yards deep for the first of two touchdown passes hauled in by the Senior TE. After the second Larson score and two DeMarco field goals, the score was 22-0 at the end of the half.

Army didn't lose any of their offensive firepower in the third quarter, which had the Black Knights increasing their lead to 36-0. The first of the two scores was a 6 yard run by RB Jamal Robinson, while the latter was Carson Williams' third and final touchdown pass of the day, a 4 yarder to Jeremy Trimble. By the time that Temple started to get something going in the 4th, it was too little, too late as Army held on to win 36-9.

"This is a win that we had to have. In the beginning of the year, we marked 6 games that were must-wins. This was one of them," said Ghettoshark.

QB Carson Williams only threw the ball 21 times, but completed 13 of them for 181 yards and 3 touchdowns. RB Jamal Robinson rushed 31 times for 140 yards and a score, while backup RB Tony Moore carried the rock 15 times for 56 yards.

"When you can run the ball well, well that's all you really need," said Ghettoshark.

The defense was led by MLB Arlance Jenkins and SS Caleb Campbell. Both Jenkins and Campbell had two picks during the rout.
