BAYLOR GRINDS ONE OUT
This was a war of attrition type of game. Very few big plays & scores. Fighting & struggling for every yard & 1st down. Scoring on 3rd & goals when you know a FG wasn't going to cut it. It was a game Baylor would never be able to win a year ago.
But this is a new Baylor team. One that can effectively run the ball, getting strong as the game wears on. One that uses shorter routes & a more accurate aerial attack. And one that can make that big stop on defense on a 3rd down to force a punt and get off the field. It is a young team that is only going to get better with time, but is already proving they might be better than predicted. And it is a Baylor team that can travel to Mississippi & beat up the more talented Rebels from the SEC to move to 2-1 before starting conference play
